My mother has cronic UTI. She is self cath and has been for 29 years due to her prior Colon Cancer. She also has had Breast Cancer and 5 years ago Lung Caner, each were primary. Due to the constant caths. she has many UTI and has become immune to antibiotics She also has Alzheimer and in a nursing home. Sat. a fully was put in her. On Friday a UA was done. The Nursing home called me at 9pm on Monday night and has started her on Rocehlin IM. She also has an upper respiratory going on. Will this new drug work on her? Is this a short time fix if so will it work a second time? She will have a total of 6 shots. There is no appetite not enough fluids. She already had watery stools, and confused. There is a huge decline in her health.
