Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother is 89. She never smoked but it was her uterine cancer that spread and nodules? were noticed in her lungs so it spread. Because of her age, she opted no treatments. I am her caretaker (daughter) and she wants to stay at home and live out the rest of her life. She was diagnosed with the lung cancer in Feb.,2015. She is just now showing some signs (as I have read on the internet). A slight dry cough. She is not a bedridden person. We go shopping almost every day. I keep her moving! She also is experiencing pain in her legs/back. She has been "sharp as a tack" up until recently. Maybe I'm overly observant but she has forgotten some things that I thought were very important. Could be just her nerves? What else should I look for as a sign that her health is really declining?
