My Mother Is Suffering From Fever For The Last 3

My mother is suffering from fever for the last 3 days. Her body temperature is around 99 F (persistent), even after intake of Calpol 650 mg twice a day. No cough/body aches/rashes/head pain. Is this viral fever? Should she opt for antibiotics? Please advice. Thank you.
