My Mother Was Diagnosed With Pancreatic Cancer In Mid Sept

My mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in mid sept 2014. She was told she has approx. 18 months to live. She has gone through 5 chemo treatments and is expecting to go through one more. She is scheduled for a ct scan on Jan 2nd and she is expecting results from scan to reveal a no more cancer.
She also has ovarian cancer 1.5 yrs ago and that the pancreatic cancer could be ovarian cancer that spread to the pancreas.
She was not a candidate for whipple due to the fact that her heart and codp deems her not healthy enough for surgery.
In sept. she was told there was no evidence of spread from pancreas to other organs or tissue.

Is moms upcoming scan going to reveal no cancer? How will she do moving forward without any more treatment at all is cancer is still present?
