My Mum Has Chf And Has Been In Hospital For

My mum has chf and has been in hospital for a month. Her breathing has been worsening over the past 6 months but initially doctors believed that to be due to her pulmonary fibrosis. Although now we are told her fibrosis hasn't deteriorated and her recent admission into hospital is due to CHF. Approx 4 months ago she was diagnosed with HF with an EF of 25% and was put on to bisoprolol 1.25mg. Clinically she was improving but then switched to sotalol 40mg and her breathlessness worsened rapidly. Throughout this time set has been on 3L of oxygen (but was suppose to be due to her fibrosis).
Her most recent hospital admission was due to severity of breathlessness (approx 2 weeks after being switched back from sotalol to bisoprolol). So in hospital she was diagnosed with CHF and started on diuretics. After 3 weeks she was started on candersartan 8mg, bisoprolol increased to 2.5mg, ivabradine 3.5mg (in addition furosemide an eplerenone are still continuing).
After 1.5weeks there is v little change in my mums breathlessness.

Is it possible that new additional meds can improve breathlessness? If so how long before we can see an improvement ie days, weeks or months? (Am I likely to see much improvement after 1.5weeks?)
My mother is 76 yrs old and kidney function is ok.
