Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My name is Jackson Piper I am a 23 year old male. I am 5'8" and weigh approximately 140 lbs. For the most part my medical history is great with the exception of some sports injuries. I was taking a shower and when I went to turn off the water I received a mild electric shock. It was painful and I felt tingling in my hands while touching the knob. I used the shower curtain to create some kind of barrier and finshed the job. I am feeling a painful almost burning/itching sensation on the top side of my forearms and have discomfort on the left side of my chest. However, I have been dealing with a lot of anxiety in the last few days and know I am most likely just freaking myself out. However i felt it would be a good idea to get some advice from a professional. My question is what should I be looking for if it is something that i need to receive treatment for. I do not have much money and receive my medical insurance through the state, so I would prefer to avoid the doctor/er at all costs, excluding my health. Please help me decide if this is a serious concern or nothing to worry about. Thank you.
