Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My nephew is a Type 1 diabetic. He went to the hospital a few weeks ago because he was not feeling well. He has been complaining of not feeling well. I asked "Have you eaten regularly and checked your blood sugar? Did you take your insuling?" (he has some mild learning disabilities) He said "I took the Zofran." He said he got it in the hospital. I looked it up and it says it is for nausea after surgery or related to Cancer medicines. Why would a doctor prescribe this for him?
