My nephew is very overweight. He is athletic, but very heavy set. He's suffered from a headache for about a wk and now is vomiting and has a fever. He is waiting for transport now from our local hospital to Nicewonger Children's Hospital in Johnson City, TN. We live in the southwestern part of VA. HE HAS BEEN IN LAKE WATER, GONE RIVER RAFTING, ECT. Does this sound like meningitis or an amoeba of some sort? They cannot get any spinal fluid is what we have been told here and they're going to try and get spinal fluid at Nicewonger. Is this possible.....the brain eating amoeba? He hasn't been in any other southern states besides VA and TN in the last month
