My Nurse Practitioner And I Think I Have A Vaginal

My nurse practitioner and I think I have a vaginal yeast infection and she prescribed Fluconazole for me which has been helping itchiness and redness, but on one side of the vulva the hair follicles seem to be having their own problems. It's extremely bothersome; there's a clear/yellowy discharge only on that side underneath the hair and skin peeling, leaving it really tender and sometimes bleeding after I scratch even the slightest bit. Should I take sometimes else or would the medicine eventually kick in? I've never been sexually active fyi
