My parson's Jack Russell has various health problem and is deaf, blind and is on thyroxine for an under active thyroid. She is nearly 12 years old but her problems have only occurred in the last six months. She has now started to pant several times a day and drinks a lot of water which is unusual for her. Her abdomen is quite distended and her weight has not decreased despite being on thyroxine.

Having had several dogs over the years I have never had a dog end their days with so many problems.
I find it very upsetting as she has been an absolute delight ad a true friend. I wondered if you have any suggestions about the reasons for her breathlessness and if there is anything that can be done for her.
Her vet has not come up with any suggestions !
