My Partner Was Rushed To The Hospital By Ambulance, He

My partner was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, he has Diabetes and has lost a leg to it and just had a vascular stint put in his remaining leg for the blood flow to his foot his infected toe nail was turning gangrene. The evening i called the ambulance all of sudden he appeared drunk and incoherent he doesn't . I couldn't get him to take his blood sugar readings and i was afraid he was going to go into a diabetic coma. The hospital fixated on his pain pills, which he has been on since his amputation and has never abused them or taken more than he should. My question is if someone is administered Nalexone(?) to flush the Opiates how long does it take for it to work or for people to see a reaction if infact the problem is too many Opiates?
