My Period Last Month Was Unusual. I Spotted For 4

My period last month was unusual. I spotted for 4 days and this month I spotted for 3 days. Kind of heavy but only when I went to the restroom. I took a blood test for pregnancy the day after the spotting stopped. Do I count last month as a period ? First day of spotting last month was Oct 3. Blood twst was negative.
