My Sister Has Had Spinal Fusion, Has Been In Constant

My sister has had spinal fusion, has been in constant pain since (1992). She also has IBS (severe), and has had allergic reactions to numerous medications. She now has osteoporosis and her medical practitioner is advising her to start prolia (?). She is very afraid of the side effects of that. Is there anything else she could possible do?
