My son has been diagnosed with ADD. He's 15. Today I came home from work and he was crying because he said he can't focus. His mind moves so quickly he can't hold a thought and things at six things at once. He had trouble articulating the issue and felt overwhelmed. He says he procrastinates and gets distracted easily. He also is irritated by loud noise and is anti-social. We've tried many medications. He currently is on Adderall but I don't know if it is helping at all. As a mother, I don't know what to do. I plan to take him back to a psychologist, but the appointments take a long time to get, and my son is crying now. He's very smart. But, his grades don't reflect his abilities. I know he will eventually be successful, but currently figuring this out is so painful. I'm not sure the ADD is the complete diagnosis and wonder what else I should be doing to support him?
