My Son Has Recently Been Diagnosed With Bipolar Type I

My son has recently been diagnosed with Bipolar Type I he is currently taking Lithium BID and Geodon at bedtime. He was taking Geodon BID but due to side effects was taken off the am dose. The Psychiatrist just this week increased his Geodon up by 20 mg more at night. Last night he had really severe uncontrollable hand and arm shaking and pain for many hours and his feet also were bothering him. He was doing well on the dose he had been taking previously. He will not be able to talk with the MD until Monday I am concerned about these side effects and feel that he should leave off the added dosage of Geodon due to this severe side effects he had. What is your opinion?
