My Son Is Addicted To Heroin. He Has Sought Treatment

My son is addicted to heroin. He has sought treatment in many ways including detox, rehab, counseling and naltrexone and always relapses. The last incident with naltrexone left me baffled since I thought it curved cravings. He began cheeking his medication and starting using heroin again. He says he is committed this time and we have agreed against our better judgement to allow him to use an opiod replacement. We have heard many stories about suboxone and subutex not solving the problem and causing yet another addition. He was prescribed zubsolv by a licensed physician which I believe is suboxone, and has agreed to continue with his counseling. My question is, can he abuse zubsolv and if so what should I be on the look out for? We r doing our best to only give him one pill per day which he said is too much at once and wants to break it in half and take it twice a day. I'm concerned he may be storing one half and possibly using more than he should at once. Is this possible or am I just over reacting?
