My symptoms began with a noticeable low grade burning or congestion in the center of my chest. For the next two days I had persistent hiccups and a noticeable burning or constriction while eating. It felt as if the food wasn't going all the way down. The hiccups have ceased but the pain becomes more prominent when eating. I have not had acid reflux, that I am aware of, nor have I had any other symptoms that I would associate with this particular issue.
