My Wife, 70 Years Old, Smoker, Very Thin; Caught A

My wife, 70 years old, smoker, very thin; caught a cold a couple of days ago. She got up to go to the bathroom this morning and while in there she stated that she was getting a massive hot flash. She headed back to bed and passed out. Took several minutes to revive her and longer to get her up and into bed. I want her to go to ER for a checkout but she refuses. I know this has a potential to be serious but I can't impress that upon her as she just blames having a cold. This is the first time she has ever lost consciousnesses.
