My wife Sue had a robotic, laparoscopic FULL hysterectomy several weeks ago. She is 57. Surgery went great and she never had pain -- did not even take otc pain relievers. Her gynecologist has given us a date next week when we can resume sexual activity. My wife has read that some people experience great pain with intercourse after a hysterectomy. Is this common? I am wondering what WE can do to avoid this. Is making sure she is lubricated the only thing we have any control over? If it is painful, is the pain usually treatable? Thank you Jeff
