My Wife Inhaled Some Smoke And It Seemed To Have

My wife inhaled some smoke and it seemed to have strained her throat. She says it feels like the left side of her throat hurts. She has started drinking hot drinks (tea with lemon and honey) and has done nothing else at this time. It happened yesterday. Please advise.
