Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife is a nurse. She was giving CPR to a pt when his defib went off. The shock threw her back. The ER doctor refused to turn off the defib on the pt. She was shocked 3 times. Now her hands literally shake. The shaking started after the first shock and continued to get worse. They coded the man several minutes after the third shock and several minutes after my wife turned over the CPR to another nurse because of the shaking and pain. The doctor's claim the shaking is a conversion disorder. Can this be true?
