My wife severe gaseous stomach pain. she just started chemo therapy for stage 4 colon cancer that is also in her liver. She was prescribed ondansetron and sucralfate. She had not been taking sucra but did today. I read that stomach pain and gas can be a side effect of the sucra. She threw up a little -all liquid, looked like the vanilla boost she had drank. She has since taken a generic form of Pepcid complete and is resting. Her 2nd chemotherapy is tomorrow. She handled the first very well with no nausea, etc. Could the sucralfate have caused her pain, gas. Was taking the generic Pepcid a good idea. If it continues, is there anything else she should do?
