About an hour ago I was grocery shopping and all of the sudden I felt nauseas and broke out into a cold sweat and had the shakes. I made it through the store and back to my car but felt like I was going to collapse. When I got home I went tot he bathroom and had really bad lower abdominal cramping and some dizziness. I had to sit there for about 20 minutes before I even had the strength to get back up. I am on my menstrual cycle and removed the tampon just to be safe because my body literally felt like it had been poisoned. It felt like the beginning of food poison or a virus, but once I got out of the bathroom I was pasty white but felt fine. Just a little weak. Any idea what could have happened? I've had sugar crashes before, but this felt 20 times worse.
Hi, From the symptoms you describe I think that you could be developing a gastrointestinal infection. This is usually viral and may progress to nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. I would suggest you rest as much as you can. Try to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. Eat only if you feel hungry and avoid spicy foods. Gastroenteritis is self-limiting and would usually last only a day or two. I hope you feel better soon. Regards.
