Nausea, Dizziness, Watery Eyes, Sore Breasts And Nipples After Taking Cerazette. How Long Will It Take To Clear Up The Side Effects?

I was given cerazette a week ago. Unfortunately I started to feel very nauseous, dizzy, tearful, and had very sore breasts and nipples. Knowing this is not my usual self I stopped taking it after just one week , my breast are still very sore and whilst I feel less tearful I m not myself. How long will it take for these side effects to go.

Hi Mazola.

Thank you for putting up your problem to Healthcare Magic!
Cerazette is a new generation progestogen only contraceptive which contains desogestrel 75micrograms to be taken orally daily.
It is well tolerated in most women but can cause side effect in some.
The most commonly reported undesirable effects in the clinical trials with Cerazette were Bleeding, BP surges, acne, mood changes, breast pain, nausea and weight increase.
You have intolerance for the drug so should avoid it in future also.
It goes out of your system in 6days, so you would progressively recover now onward, may be fully in next 3-4 days.
Take Care!
I hope this information would be both informative and helpful for you

Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. Cerazette is an only progesteron pill with minimal sgde effects. ofcourse gastric irritation is there. Breast sore ness dizziness and confusion
could be due secondary to gastric irritation.
To be on safe side i advise to consult your doctor for sore breast.
Besides i avise you to follow some diet recomendations as avoid
taking excess of spices chillies oily foods and junk foods.
Wishing for a quick recovery and thanks for calling.
