I am having pain in my neck/ throat . There is a lot of pressure and it feels like something is pushing on the front of my neck. I experienced this last night and went to the hospital but it went away by the time I saw a doctor. He mentioned that it may be my thyroid but was unsure. The pain is back today, this time on the side of my neck, and I don t know what to do or what it could be.
Treatment depends on cause and Investigations like Complete blood count, ECG, cervical spine X ray,Thyroid functions( T3,T4&TSH) if required Thyroid Ultrasonography.
Please consult your physician and once cause is detected it can be treated easily.
Hope this information Helps. Take care. Good Luck. Dr.Akhilesh Dubey M.D
