Need A Knee Surgery, Platelet Count Are 60. Ways To Increase Count ?

my platelet count are 60 and need a knee surgery but dr dont want to risk it so their sending me to a Hematologist to see what treatments i can have to higher my platelets.what my option here if any.im in so much pain day and nite and have to use a walker at times or hop on my left foot.i have cirrhosis of the liver since i was 23 and now im 43.desperately in need of knee surgery

Your liver problem could be the cause of the low platelets. You need to see the hematologist for a detailed workup and then measures to increase your platelet count for the surgery. All the best

i can feel your concerns

the cause of low platelet count is cirrohis of liver

i advise you to consult your haematologist

are you on some treatment for liver cirrhosis

knee surgury wil be possible by collaboration of hematologist and surgeon
