this is brief information about my health condition.i am diagnosed with pcod few yrs back,i have been on fertomed and letroz.i have had 2 rounds of ectopic which was treated with methotrexate.recently i had undergone hyseterolaparoscopy which showed normal results-normal ovaries, tubes open-no damage and normal uterus .i have not had any treatment in the last 6 months.periods are regular 30 days cycle.and i have lost about 8 kilos in the last 3 months.originally wt was 75 and presently it is 67.also have done a endometrium biopsy which showed mild endometritis. i wanted to understand the condition on endometritis and what is the treatment. Also is it ok continue metformin. And knowing the other results are normal can i try without the fertility drugs. And is the endometritis causing the the ectopic pregnancy.
Dear madam,I understand your concern. In my opinion endometritis is the infection of endometrium(it is the lining of uterus). It can be acute and chronic. Causes of endometritis are septic abortion, puerperal sepsis ,gonorrhoeal infection and genital tuberculosis. Dont worry ,You might need to take a course of antibiotics depending on the cause for this and it will be cleared. Endometritis may ascend upwards and cause salphingitis which is in turn the cause of ectopic pregnancy. In PCOD it is ok to take metformin for better results. After the endometritis and PCOD is cleared and as all other reports are normal you can try without medicine for pregnancy.
