46yr old male History: Prostate carcinoma. Cough and shortness of breath for a couple weeks. Chest pain. Comments: PA and lateral views of the chest were performed with no prior studies available for comparison.
The heart and mediastinum are within normal limits. There are no lung consolidations, congestive heart failure, pleural effusion or pneumothorax. Osseous structures are grossly unremarkable.
You might have got shortness of breath and chest pain for which chest X ray was asked. The chest X ray appears normal in all respects. However, since you are taking treatment for prostate cancer, it is important that a chest CT scan be done to study any changes in the lungs in detail. This can address your current problems and will guide you through the rest of your treatment for prostate cancer. This is a regular method followed in patients who have cancer and not something to worry about.
