Need To Worry About Elongated Hyperechoic Nodule Within Thyroidectomy Bed?
HI, I had a thyroid ultrasound done after having a total thyroidectomy detecting papillary and follicular cancer. I had iodine treatments a year ago. My ultrasound shows a 5x3 elongated hypoechoic nodule within the left thyroidectomy bed. should I be worried?
Hello, good day. Is it a nodule or lymphnode? However, it is worthwhile to get your thyroglobulin and thyroglobulin antibody test done. Please dont worry. Based on the blood reports which i mentioned, your endocrinologist will decide on a thyroid nuclear scan. Hope you are taking sufficient Thyroxne to keep your TSH suppressed Regards Binu
