I have been plagued by boils since I was a teen. I finally saw a dermatologist and he put me on minocycline, which helps some. I also shower with antibacterial soap. Lately, now that I am older I notice that they are more painful and last longer. Is there really anything over the counter that works? I might add, I sit for long periods at my job. The boils seem to show up in the creases of my legs and my buttocks. Any help would be appreciated.
I think you may be having lower immunity. That may be responsible for relapsing pyoderma. So, you should get investigated for vitamins like vitamin B12, vitamin D, and serum iron, calcium, and zinc etc. All steps should take to improve immunity. Dietary supplements, vitamins, minerals, yoga, exercise, meditation, etc.
