Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been diagnosed with internal hemorrhoids and have a large volume of blood in my stool, around in, and in the toilet, also when i wipe. I also have abdominal pain that radiates down to my testicles. I also sometimes discharge blood when i pass gas.
1) internal hemorrhoids hardly cause so severe bleeding. in addition, blood on wiping may not be present in internal hemorrhoids. 2) What about your bowel habbit? constipation? 3) What about consistency of stool? presence of mucus in stool? 4) Pain around anus which radiates towards testicles with blood discharge may go in favour of anal fissure. But anal fissure may associated with constipation and severe straining to pass stool. 5) Digital rectal examination and proctoscopy are sufficient to confirm diagnosis. You may require to check hemoglobin level if bleeding in stool is since long time
