Need Treatment For Pain In The Hand And Joints With Lupus
I have lupsus and fibro have been on many different meds,im on cymbalta and plaquinal along with norco and xanaflex and ambien and alpaxolam, im haveing alot of neorophathy pains in my hands my dr is a rhematologist but I dont feel as though he is really doing anything for me except medicating me, I feel soewhat like a lab rat! the pain meds help with the all over aches I have in my joints but Im tired of taking so many pills!!! Any HELP THERE. Oh and I also found out a year ago Im post menopausaul due to a hysterectomy done when I was 40 will be ten yrs in Aug.
I don't know what lupus and fibro means. By definition, fibromyalgia has to NOT have other definite causes for pain, so the diagnosis is plain wrong when there is joint damage from lupus causing deformity and pain. Lupus has the name because it can tear into someone like an angry wolf.
Organ function has to be closely watched and if there is damage from the autoimmune disease, medicines to halt the immune system are generally used. Plaquinil is safe, effective, and pretty mild. Aspirin like drugs are basically one of the main drugs to use and are pretty dangerous especially for stomach irritation. but multiple controlled substances are not the generally used drugs.
