Need Treatment For Pressure And Fullness In The Abdomen With UTI.
I'm waiting to get the results from my urinalysis culture. I've had a UTI for a month now that 3 different antibiotics haven't gotten rid of. I have a lot of pressure and fullness in my abdomen and suspect it's going into my kidneys. Should I be concerned or go to the hospital?
It is likely to be UTI I would have asked you for urine routine examination and urine culture & sensitivity.
Presently I would suggest you to drink plenty of water and drink cranberry juice which has found to be beneficial in UTI. I empirically treat my patients with tablet norflox 400 mg twice daily for three days. But as you have mentioned that you had UTI previously, it would be better if we can wait for the investigation report and based on the report we can decide on the choice of antibiotic.
Hope this helps. Take care.
