Newborn With Yellowish Anal Discharge. Cure?
hi, My baby is 50 days old. and from last 10-15 days a considerable amount of yellow water is leaking from his anus right after he finishes potty. Its color is same as potty and smells the same but its just water. and it comes out on its own,he doesn t have to put pressure as if to do potty. And the water is enough to wet 4-5 layers of cloth.and it continues to come for 10-20 mins(not continuously). Can u please tell me what could be the reason and how can it be stopped. thank you

But if it too watery as you are describing please add a probiotic syrup thrice daily for 5 days.

Your child seems to have mild diarrhea and some times loose frequent stools are common in newborns.
How is his activity and urine output?
I advise you to continue exclusive breastfeed your child till the age of 6 months.
Probiotic like lactobacillus can be given one sachet per day orally after mixing in expressed breast milk for 3 to 5 days.
Stool can be given for routine, pH, reducing substances, and for culture and sensitivity to detect any abnormality after consulting your Pediatrician.
