Nipples Producing Colostrum, Irregular, Heavy Periods With Clots, Spotting After Intercourse, Back Pain. Due To Stress?

Hi I went to the doctors last week as I had what I thought was just one leaking nipple but turned out that both are producing colostrum, when I finished breastfeeding 14months ago.
I have had very irregular and heavy periods with clots (unusual for me) for the past 4-5months. Been very tired, moody, emotional, spotting after intercourse, lower back pain, leg cramps.
The doctor sent me for a blood test and all of my hormone levels were normal. She also sent me for a pelvic ultrasound which seemed all normal apart from an enlarged uterus.
She has put it down to stress, as my eldest was diagnosed with high functioning autism 4months ago, and it looks like the same thing is going to be for my youngest.
Should I be worried about all of these symptoms or is it just stress?
I used to have an over active thyroid after my eldest son but it corrected itself after my youngest who is 2. I have also only got one ovary and tube as I had a Desmond cyst (that had twisted and burst) removed 2 years before I had my eldest child.
Thankyou
Kat

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Once you had thyroid abnormality, you have to undergo timely reevaluation of the hormonal levels.
Because fluctuations can occur in the hormonal levels due to different causes.
So, once go for thyroid hormonal profile and prolactin levels estimation.
And also, ultrasound may not detect early pelvic infection sometimes.
So once go for physical examination including speculum examination.
This will help in detecting local causes like cervical erosion etc.
With this workup the possible cause for your problem can be identified and treated.
Better to check the thyroid levels in your children also.
Take care.
