No Heart Issues, Light Drinker And Smoke Cigars. ECG Came Abnormal. Findings?

I recently had an ECG/EKG that came back abnormal. Stating LVH with secondary repolarization abnormality. It also states extensive ST-T changes are probably due to ventricular hypertrophy. My blood pressure at my last reading was 126/84.The highest reading I had was after learning the result of my EKG which was 138/98.(im thinking it was a stress reading there) I'm 24 blk male never had any heart related issues nor have ever had any symptoms of anything. Im 6'3 270 athletic build. Im a light drinker and have recently stopped smoking cigars. Im currently on a diet to reduce weight. I had a blood test and all came back normal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The heart is divided into 2 sides, right side and left side. Each side is composed of two parts, the upper parts called the atria and the lower parts called the ventricles.

The right ventricles sends blood to the lungs and the left to the rest of the body after it has received the oxygen from the lungs.

Ventricular hypertrophy implies that there is enlargement of the ventricles. It is more common on the left however it is not clearly stated whether it is right or left that is enlarged.

Though this enlargement is more common in persons with conditions such as high blood pressure, it can sometimes be found in individuals with no known illnesses.

I hope this helps

Cardiologist Dr. Anantharamakrishnan's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

The first step is to see a Cardiologist
A thorough history and physical examination is the first step -
ECHOcardiogram is necessary to see the heart valves (Mitral Valve Prolapse) / heart muscle (Cardiomyopathy) and heart function (Ejection fraction, wall motion abnormality) ...
LABORATORY work-up (electrolytes)– may also be necessary for further assessment and assistance.
The treating doctor may suggest them depending on need, based on his assessment of the situation.

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
