No Improvement Post Treatment For Chest Infection, Heavy Cough, Dizziness, Sweating, Headache. What Should Be Done?
hiya my name is heather im 49 seven days ago i was prescribed amoxil 500mg tablets for what was a suspected chest infection.... i was feeling extreemly ill ..symptoms were headache ..dry cough ...dizzy faint..runny eyes and problems with my vision ...i was told to go back to my doctor if there was no improvement after 5 days....back to the doctors i went ...i was now very sick...blood tests..and a visit to x-ray ...however ive now been sent home with a sick note for two weeks of work but no diagnosis...im still very ill...coughing till i cant breathe dizzy faint sweating but no temprature..my head is aching and im unable to attempt to do alot ...thanks heather
Respected sir i am very sorry for this .as mentioned by it seems that you have some viral infection . That may be associated with bacterial infection of lung.most of time they resolve in a period of 1 week with rest and symptomatic treatment of running nose fever and cough.but in case If it is persisting and is very troublesome then proper work up is required to reach the diagnosis . Some bleed test x ray chest and sputum examination are must to be done. Initially these may come normal because of viral cause but repeat test will definitely show some cause.in my opinion if cough and all other symptoms are persisting then you must consult your physician for further evaluation and management . Hope everything will be alright .
