hi, i have had the implanon for three years and had no periods untill about 6 months before i was due the implanon out..i then tried the coil without hormones and it caused me severe pain and heavy bleeding so i had it removed and had the implanon put back in...again i had no periods i then started spotting and bleeding after sex so i went to the doctors where i discovered i had chlymidia i was treated for this and PID on a 2 weeks course of antibiotics since then i have not stopped bleeding i have slight pelvic pains but nothing severe i finished these antibiotics 3 weeks ago the bleeding is dark brown-black with some clots..i went to the doctors and they siggested having blood samples taken but i cant have these for another 2 weeks as chylmidia may still show abnormalties in my blood due to the time it has been since starting my treatment and now
Hello, Thanks for posting your query. Bleeding after sex can be due to cervical erosion, cervicitis , cervical carcinoma & some local injury. It is good that you are taking treatment for PID but still get pap smear done to rule out cervical carcinoma. Take care
