Normal To Have Sore Breast And Swelling Around Nipples After Coming Off Depo Provera?
I am coming off the depo provera injection, and my breasts have been really sore, they have been swollen and the area around my nipple has grown, it also hurts to touch underneath the breast so the bone. is this all normal when coming off the injection? I was supposed to get it in sept but didn't, and i still havent gotten a period
While coming off from Depo provera injection, means during the withdrawal phase and expected premenstrual period, some amount of breast tenderness, engorgement and darkening of nipples can be expected. These will subside soon after staring of the periods.
The onset of withdrawal bleeding after stopping the Depo provera may vary from 7 to 10 days and further longer in some women. If you are more than 14 days delayed for your period and if you had unprotected intercourse during this period, better to go for preferably blood test or urine test for pregnancy to rule out the possibility.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
