Noticed A Large Protruding Mass Under My Left Breast

Hi

I have a very large protruding mass under my left breast.. It feels quite hard like part of my rib. I saw my GP who thought it was a lipoma but after an ultrasound the radiographer ruled this out. She felt instead it may be an issue with my rib themself and send me for an X-ray. I am waiting on the results but she did seem confused and said she wasn't sure the test would show anything.
I am very uncomfortable and after a lot of prodding tender. The lump type mass is very noticeable when standing or sitting and can be seen through fitted clothing.

Any suggestions?

This is a serious complaint and needs to be settled asap. The main concern of course is that of cancer. You need to get 2 tests done. First a contrast enhanced CT scan of the chest which will tell us the exact nature and origin of the lump and also the extent both outside and inside. This should be followed by a biopsy from the lesion. This will tell us whether the lesion is cancerous or benign and will be treated accordingly.
