Noticed A Small Bruise At The Temple Due To An Injury

2 and 1/2 year old just hit her temple pretty hard on the baby gate while it was open. Small bruise closer to corner of eye. Looking like a line instead of a circle. She says her head does not hurt and she never lost conscious cried for a couple minutes. Do I need to take her to er? She is holding her head randomly like it may be hurting.

Pediatrician 's  Response
greetings,
getting a scan done on the head injury is a very controversial topic.
So if your child is good, not getting cranky and lis not as such complaining of headache.has not vomitted and not feeling drowsy or lost consciousness even for a little while then seems like she's doing good.
you can actually show to your doctor if you see any unusual things or any symptoms or signs that i have mentioned.
Hope this helps.
