Noticed Blood Clots Which Looks Like Skin After Having A Implant On
Hi I recently got the implant (implanon) and after a few days of missing my period I finally got it. Just 12 after I got my period I went to the toilet and noticed what I thought was a clump of blood. After lifting it with toilet paper I noticed it was a medium sized piece of skin. Is this normal?
While being an Implanon some amount of menstrual irregularities can be seen till the reproductive hormones get stabilized. Delay in the periods can lead to thickened endometrium of uterus. Endometrium is the layer that will shed during the menstrual period. May be because of the increased thickness you might have noticed the pieces of endometrium along with the blood.
If you started with Implanon during your first 3 to 4 days of the menstrual cycle the possibility of pregnancy is less. If it was implanted in the middle of the cycle better to undergo a pregnancy test to rule out the possibility of pregnancy if the test gives negative result, no need to worry your cycles may regularize soon.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
