Noticed Lump On Legs Of Child Near Genitals. Had Respiratory Probles. Underlying Cause?

I've just noticed whilst putting my 3 year old boys nappy on that he has a lump on both legs on the inside close to the top of the leg near his private areas. I remember a doctor checking this area when my boy was in hospital for respiratory problems and asked why he was checking this area and he told me, but I can't remember the reason ( it was a stressful time) and I just wondered if I need to be concerned. He has just come round from a 24 hours sickness bug. Could this be his glands working over time to clear infection? Thank you Katie YYYY@YYYY

Pediatrician Dr. Vikash Kumar Kedia's  Response
the things about which you are talking are inguinal lymph nodes.the total number of such lymph nodes, their sizes and lots of other criteria matters.just mere the presence of them is of no value.the presence of such enlarged lymph nodes in other areas of the body also matters.if it is disturbing you thn plz get and expert consultation because only the physical examination can tell whether these lymph nodes are of any significance or not or needed to be investigated.
