Noticed Numbness At The Tip Of The Fingers & Skin Peeling Out From Right Thumb

Hi, several weeks ago the tips of my fingers became numb and flaky, like the ends of them have been dipped in super glue. It went away for a few days, then came back worse yesterday. The entire inner part of my right thumb has peeled off, leaving red and painful skin. I have significant swelling and am unable to move the finger due to swelling and pain. My right index finger is very flaky, and I m afraid that it will peel as well. Is there something that I can buy to help with this problem?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be finger tip dermatitis. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. ai would recommend you to take a coursecof oral steroid in tapering dose. Take antihistaminic like Cetirizine 10 mg tablet daily. Apply mild steroid cream. Avoid contact with suspected irritans.

Hope this helps.
