Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
Numbness is most often related to abnormal function of the nervous system, this is called neuropathy.
It can be temporary or permanent and there are different possible causes. Some of the cause are: (1)
vitamin b12 or
folate deficiency or abnormal levels of vitamin b6
(2)diabetes
(3)trauma
(4)liver or kidney disease
(5)infection such
shingles,
(6)exposure to toxins
(7)side effect of medication
(8)neurological disorders such as ms , stroke
(9)thyroid disease
If the numbness and spasms continue, then you would need to consider seeing your doctor for an assessment.
This should include a complete history of symptoms, examination and blood tests (
complete blood count, ESR - goes up with inflammation in the body, thyroid tests, liver and kidney function)
Treatment would depend on the cause found.
I hope this helps
