Numbness In Knee, Bruised, Squishy. What Can Be Wrong?
why is my knee numb? I fell on it skating 5 months ago ad it s numb now. It hurts if I stand on just the one leg, and it s squishy where it s numb. It bruised quite badly for a couple weeks. How can I improve the sensitivity of the affected area, and what specifically occurred during the trauma that would cause this affect.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query
Numbness might be due to injury to superficial nerve fibres during trauma to knee. You can improve the sensitivity of affected area by taking methylcobalamin tablets under supervision of your doctor.I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Regards.
Dr Saurabh Gupta.
