Occasional Eye Pain. History Of Bang On The Eye Causing Swelling Below Eye, Redness In Sclera Region. Remedy?
sir,i got a hit during a basketball match.the left eye had a red swelling for about 15 days just beneath the eye and redness was also in the sclera region of the eye.i was given some drops and antibiotic medication by the doctor at that time but regretabbly i did not follow it at that time.now i have occassional pain in the left eye.kindly suggest me a way to get rid of the pain

It seems from the history that you had injury to the eyes followed by redness in the scleral region. Probably you had subconjunctival hemorrhage the treatment for which is by simple observation as it will be absorbed by itself. Occassional pain in the eye may be because of other injury related problems like chronic inflammation which is treated by anti inflammatory drugs. I advice you to do attend follow up with your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment. Till then you can use analgesic drug to get rid of pain.
