Occassional Spasms In Left Leg. Temporary Relief With Sticking Needles, Heat Application. Permanent Cure?
I get leg spasms occasionally in my left leg. Outside front of leg. I have psoriatic arthritis but is under control with meds. I used to get these spasms so bad I would attempt to alleviate pain by sticking needles in my legs ( long story....clean needles) but my rheumy said I was just aggravating p.s.a. In muscles. Sometimes the spasm goes away if I walk.....other times it just makes it spasm more. I applied heat tonight and it has helped but I can feel it tightening up again. What is wrong and how do I fix this.....thanks
hallo dear friend i have studied your case there might be muscle spasm due to sudden flexion of spine,or lifting heavy weight,or acute lumbar disc prolapse this is you first episode or repeatedly having same problem you need methylcobalamine , muscle relaxant with analgesic[myoril plus]
take rest , , hot or cold fomentation avoid lifting weights
physiotherapy - SWD ,IFT WILL HELP you may need MRI SPINE if pain doesnt get relived or venous doppler leg to rule out DVT
