Ok I've been having extreme pain in the left upper chest area above breast close to under arm going on a week. I was hospitalized when I couldn't breath and had horrific pain. All tests were done to rule out heart issues. Referred to Orthopedic Dr for possible shoulder problems, no problems there he said possible neck or ribs. X Rays taken of chest area and no broken bones.
The pain goes to left arm down to elbow then from elbow to wrist is numb. The pain also radiates to same area in my back. Could it be nerve or muscle damage?
