Old Aged Woman, Green Vomitting, Burning Sensation In Lungs, Saliva, Sounds In The Stomach, Suggested Gscope And Colonoscopy. Any Problem?
82 year old grandmother has been throwing up green vomit for the past 3 weeks, it is first occurs with burning sensation on the lungs, saliva and sounds in her stomach..it mainly occurs at night while sleeping. she also had diarhoea which stopped but then had constipation . we have been to hospitals but have set a date for gscope and colonscopy two months from now, what could the problem be?
Hello, looks like gut motility problems. Bothe the upper gut and lower gut are not functioning as expected especially considering the age. yes a gastro + colonoscooy will give a diagnosis which can be treated by targeted approach. till then ask her not to lie down immediately after food, take frequent but small meals & avoid steaining at stools. take care wish you good health.
